Our Story

In 1987, Grace Noyes, the passionate and visionary owner and Artistic Director of Needham Dance Theatre, embarked on an extraordinary journey. Fresh out of college and beginning her family, she realized her lifelong dream by establishing Needham Dance Theatre with humble beginnings in the lower hall of the Carter Memorial Church.

It wasn't long before our program flourished, moving to new spaces as we grew into a beacon of excellence for the children of Needham and the surrounding communities.

Throughout the years, our dedicated and innovative teaching staff has poured their hearts into providing the highest quality dance education. We nurture each child's mental and physical well-being, build their confidence, and spread joy through dance.

We are immensely proud to have seen many of our dancers go on to perform in prestigious ballet companies and major in dance at college. Regardless of their ability, our mission is to instill solid dance technique while igniting a lifelong passion for dance in every student. Each season, we remain committed to offering a noncompetitive, positive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
